Retro online crop at Scrap~tures and a RAK

Well, I actually got scrapping yesterday with the weather being so poor.  There was actually a white out of snow around dinner time.  Here are my creations I made for the Scrap~tures Retro online weekend crop:  The surprise RAK from the weekends comments on my blog will be announced at the end of this entry.

Laced corset challenge:

Someday We Could Be a Champion Too

pp: My Minds eye; cardstock-bazzill, eyelets-making memores; ribbon-american crafts; "Someday"-cricut cartridge(wild card)-provocraft; thread-guttermann; letter stickers-cosmo cricket;adhesive-beacons and mystick

One hour tour challenge.  In this challenge, each person was to wait their turn to spell out "Gilligan". Then only take one hour to do their challenge and then post it.  There was a sketch to use, (but for some reason I ignored that rule)  Here is my rendition using the letter "A"

Aim High

Give it glam:

Scrap~tures BLOG HOP!!!

Welcome to Scrap~tures Retro Road Trip blog hop!!
Thanks so much for joining us!  We are very excited to show you some scrappy projects from the 'past' and hope that you gain lots of inspiration and continue to hop with us!!

If you just happened by this blog and didn't realize a blog hop was taking place, please go back to Scrap~tures and start the Hop.

You won't want to miss all the inspiration from our team.....or the chance to win a RAK :)

Here's my blast from the past:

I began scrapbooking "the new way" with Brads and my wedding album.  I guess my motto is go big or go home! :)  on this particular page, I x-acto knifed some embellies out of wedding cards we received (a theme throughout the album), I painted the background with blue tembra paint, and went a bit crazy with the white.  and to top it all off, I used a vellum sheet of paper.  This is us leaving the church after the worship service was all done.

This blog hop will run from today, April 15th - April 17th.  We will be drawing a winner on April 18th.

Follow along in our blog hop!  Your next stop is Kelly

More challenges

I have been working steadily all week on The Scrapping Nook February challenges.  They are really great.  Here are some I've done:  This first one we were asked to "lift" someones work out of the gallery as inspiration.  This is from Chelle (I just LOVE her copic work - but I also liked the embossing idea.)

and here is my version:

this next card is a mixture of old and new product:

this is using the Feb. Kit klub stuff of pink paislee.  The sketch is from Scrap~tures

The challenge was to do some colouring.  I coloured the flowers and a bit of the cardstock background

These next two photos are of a card I did for a Scrap~tures challenge to make a pop-up card.  I am going to give this card in the RAK that I am giving away over at TwoScrapbookFriends for a BINGO game that I am currently running.

Thanks for looking
