Dee-lightful Inspiration

Over at the Scrapping Nook message board, Dee is inspiring the ladies with a different challenge each day.  Yesterday it was all about ribbon, and a few days ago it was mitten tags.  So, I thought I would put the two together to make a card:

materials used:  Deffray red ribbon; Little Yellow Bicycle mitten cut out; Brusched courdory & Fire brick  Tim Holtz distress inks; stickles; staples cardstock; Studio G stamp

Came back yesterday afternoon from Karen's Creations retreat.  It was fantastic.  Great food, lots of laughs, great roomie (thanks Kristie) and lots of scrap booking was done.  It was held at the Super 8 motel in Port Elgin, Ontario.  Great service, lots of amenities and pretty close by.   Here are some samples of what I did complete:

 The next four are my own designs:

materials used:  pp - bo bunny; letter stickers - fancy pants; pen - staedtler (blue); pop dots; adhesives - scrapook adhesives, zip dry;

 This next one is my version of a pagemaps sketch too.  There just wasn't a challenge on the blog, that's all.
materials used:  bo bunny pp; bazzill cardstock; tim holtz distress ink; pop dots and zip dry adheasive; coats thread; wild card cricut cartdridge for title; ek success circle punch (thanks Tara - I borrowed it)

I had a blast this past weekend. Notice the new addiction to stickles!  I am already beginning to save for next fall when we do it all again.

I want to win!!!

I can win a November kit from Scrapcetera!  So, I've pasted their logo onto my blog, and am now giving you the address:    http://www.scrapceterakits.com/

I now need to tell you something that I love about the kits:  Well, to be honest, I've never purchased one, so this would be a great opportunity for me to find out what I've heard others talk about.  How great they really are!  So, pick me, and I will tell everyone about it!!!

happy hallowe'en

We survived another halloween here at our house.  There is enough candy for about 8 children here (and their parents!)  Here's what my two guys looked like when they left for trick-or-treat:

They really wanted to get going, and weren't too interested in posing.  Ethan had a mask with his costume, but couldn't wear it - he couldn't see well enough, so he chose to wear the pumkin hat...which I understand came off after about 2 houses.  Noah was Buzz Lightyear, space ranger.

Here is a LO I did for the November sketch challenge at The Scrapping Nook:

I got to use my new cricut lite "celebrate with Flourish" cartridge (title).  I used:  Basic Grey pp, bazzill and prism cardstock, ranger gold stickles, martha stewart black ink, and staedtler fineliner black pen.
