I guess it has been a while...

May is completely gone, and June is almost over.  I have no appologies.  It has been difficult.  My grandpa Hasenpflug died, Brad's Grandpa Becker died and my cousin, Darcy Perrin died since I've last been here.  Ethan had his sugery on his club foot on May 4th.  Plus regular daily stuff.   I have been creating - this is a good thing.  I've done a lot of baking lately.  My Noah turned 6 last Thursday.  We had a bowling birthday party on Saturday with this cake:

and now, some photos for the Scrapping Nook's Summer Photography Experience.  This is 100 photo challenges that we have from today (June 21) until September 21 to work on.  I'll be linking my photos from here so I don't bung up their gallery!  My camera is a Kodak 10 mega pixels and 3x optical zoom point and shoot.  (however, I have finally figured out the manual settings!!!) so here are some photos that I took today:

GDT at The Scrapping Nook!

Yes - you read that right!  For the months of May, June and July I am the Guest Design Team Member at The Scrapping Nook.  And as they are having a National Scrapbook Day online crop next weekend, I'm to get prepared.  My first challenge to my Nookie friends is to scraplift a LO the ladies had done themselves.  Here is my example:

I have no idea what materials that I used.  The tools were: x-acto knife; UHU glue stick and my fiskars cutter

and this is what I created today:

Retro online crop at Scrap~tures and a RAK

Well, I actually got scrapping yesterday with the weather being so poor.  There was actually a white out of snow around dinner time.  Here are my creations I made for the Scrap~tures Retro online weekend crop:  The surprise RAK from the weekends comments on my blog will be announced at the end of this entry.

Here's my blast from the past:

I began scrapbooking "the new way" with Brads and my wedding album.  I guess my motto is go big or go home! :)  on this particular page, I x-acto knifed some embellies out of wedding cards we received (a theme throughout the album), I painted the background with blue tembra paint, and went a bit crazy with the white.  and to top it all off, I used a vellum sheet of paper.  This is us leaving the church after the worship service was all done.

Hey, I'm working, and a blog hop!

vacation photos

We've been in the Waterloo region now for a week - so I thought I'd share some of the things we have been doing...

we went to the Brier!!!

we visited with our neices, Evelynn (2 weeks old) and Sydney (19 months old)

we visited Great grandma Becker

we took a GO train to Whitby

we ate super large pancakes from Angies Kitchen for breakfast, and then apple fritters from the St. Jacobs market

New month, new challenges over at Scrap~tures!  One of the challenges is to see how many cards you can get out of one piece of 12x12 patterned paper.  The challenger got 5.  Well....I got 6!!! (and may beable to squeeze something out of the rest yet).  So here are my 6 cards!
